MDX Stumbles at First
In the first two minutes, we stumbled, we bumbled, we looked lost, and North Bay came to play. From an early penalty, North Bay scored and had our staff scratching our heads thinking: "What are we doing?" Then Thaddeus "The Angry Quaker" went over for two tries in rapid succession, and we were back on track. TK Sullivan knocked over the two conversion kicks. And we weren't done. A few minutes later, defensive pressure led to a converted try by Brendan Martin (TK Sullivan). Halftime: MDX 21 -- NB 7
Second Half Defense
To their credit, North Bay came out to play. They hit us and played solid defense. When we did have an opportunity to open them, we did. Tobie Lewis drove through two defenders for an unconverted try. North Bay closed the game out with a converted try on our finishers. We need to do better when it comes to finishing games. Final: MDX 26 -- NB 14
Third Half -- U15 and U13 Games
Cedric Faust was able to get some quality minutes playing for the Andover Apache's in the U15 game, and Mikka Faust and Jasper Chesterfield were key weapons for West Carroll in the U13 game. It was great to see them get a chance to play against kids their own age. It was great to see Jackson Chesterfield at the game. He starts PT tomorrow and is on his way back to us. We're hopeful that Tom Smith's knee is healed up enough that he is running the ball soon.
