The Roosters opened the game with three tries, and we were chasing them the entire match. They came at us directly, and we had difficulty bringing them to the ground. It was a disappointing way to end a season where we accomplished so much. We answered by scoring five tries against a good side with a well-organized defense. Everett Lee, Cam Webster II, and Van Mahoney II all touched down. TK Sullivan hit on three of five conversions.
In the end, we learned lessons about what happens when you make little mistakes that turn into big tries. It's not unlike life. This game was a great lesson for a very young team. We're excited to see so many of you coming back next year. We're sad to see some great players depart, and we look forward to seeing how your lessons on the rugby pitch translate to success in the future challenges of your life. We appreciate your commitment to the program, and we look forward to celebrating your upcoming victories. You are always welcome to come back as a coach.
Special thanks to AJ Conway, Evan Miller, Cordell Drummond, Marc McDowell, and all of the parents and families that made this year so special.
