Exiles prevail 22-10 versus a mixed Fort Hunt side

Match vs Fort Hunt A (1st Half) B 2nd half was 24-10

The rain continued into a second match versus Fort Hunt who won the Virgina State championship in 2014 and was the runner-up in 2015. Fort Hunt had two full sides so we played their A team in the first half. Fort Hunt used a very strong pack of forwards to attack and also had a withering defense. The Fort Hunt forwards dominated the line outs and also the rucks stealing a number of our balls. Our Exiles who had 5 first time players including three who started managed to keep the game close despite Fort Hunt's speedy and elusive fullback who left a number of our players ankle's on the pitch. This star football player did not score, but kept field position in their half and were down 0-10 at half. Our players who had already had a 3 hour clinic and a previous match against Eleanor Roosevelt High School were tired and Fort Hunt brought in their B team who were very fresh. The Exiles finished strong putting up 22 unanswered points all scored by the back line.
