MDX runs its league record to 5-1 with win over a scrappy North Bay side

"A mind is a precious thing to waste"
- Maryland Exiles Coach Mark Cohen

MDX started fast scoring three tries in succession by Noah Lucas, Michael Murphy, and an amazing bit of heads up magic by Tyler Lopes. Reed Stiles hit all three conversions. Halftime: MDX 21 --- NB 0

In the 2nd half, more MDX pressure led to more opportunities to score. Some of them we knocked on. Some of them we made mistakes in finishing. However, on two occasions there were no mistakes and Noah Lucas and Joseph Vitolio were rewarded with opportunities to finish impressive movements. Reed Stiles finished a perfect day with his boot hitting the two conversions and adding a penalty kick. Final: MDX 36 --- NB 0

In the JV match, Coach Lopes players traded blows with North Bay. The team gave up a try to North Bay to start the game off on the wrong foot, but came storming back with quality tries by Emmanuel Ozegbe, Hodari Davis and Stephon Ruiz. Emmanuel Ozegbe hit on all three conversions. Halftime: MDX JV 21 --- NB 5

In the second half, more Exiles pressure was rewarded with two more converted tries by Emmanuel Ozegbe. Only a mistake in lineout defense marred a great second half by the JV's. Blas Capelutto was yellow carded for aggressive play, and Tyler Lopes was banned from future JV competitions against NB. Final: MDX JV 35 --- NB 10
